MAKING A WORKING FOUNTAIN

Hi! My name is Moki and I've made this tutorial 'cause some peoples asked me how to make some working fountains.
First of all you need to know that fountains needs effect points... You must insert an effect point where you want the water come from and an effect point where the effect must end. In SketchUp you can add effect points using the Text Tool, just click and drag your mouse by the point where you want the effect be.  In the text box insert a name for the effect point (for explaining I've called them Particle start and particle end but you can call them i.e. 1, 2, 3, or a,b,c... or what you like... just keep in mind that you will find them in the importer and
you have to know which are the start and which are the end)
fountain
Group your textures as usually and export as an ase file. You will see in the exported group list the names
of the effect points you added in the model
fountain
Open the importer. Now we must create our ovl file... Import textures as usually, import the model.
In the Edit Model Settings window set the textures you need then click on the A (auto) button in the Effet Points zone...

You can now see in the Effect Points window the effect points we have put in our model. Select the first (by which the water must go out) an click the E (edit) button:

In the new window select Particle Effect -> Start
fountain
In the new window select the particle effect you like for your fountain (I've choose RapidsWaterfall for mine), click OK.
Now your window has to be like this:
fountain
Do you see the number 01 highlighted?...It means that if you are using more than one set of particle effects you must number them in order.
Give the OK. Now set the second effect point: select it and click on the E button. In the new window select Particle Effect -> End
fountain
Choose, in the new window, the same particle effect as for the particle effect start. click OK. The highlighted number must be the same of your particle effect start (IT IS IMPORTANT!!!).
Now our model is ready, click OK, set LODs, save your file and generate the OVL file

Set  Icon Textures,  Icon Reference and Text String as usually then open the Scenery section. Add a new scenery.
I've used this settings:
fountain
Install your object. Here you can see the fountain in RCT3... It works fine!

I hope this tutorial has helped you to understand how to use effect point for making a working fountain...    Moki
